Congratulations to The Standard Club of Winnsboro - Business of the Week! The Standard Club of Winnsboro is a 501(c)3 organization that was started in 1901 by couples, in 1904 it became an all women group and in 1910 they started making the library their focus. This year’s theme is “Bloom Where You Are Planted” and to the president Jenna Nelson that means wherever you are serve using your own gifts. The Standard Club of Winnsboro is made up of 16 members and have two main activities a year. The 1st Wednesday of April is Open House at the Library this fundraiser is for the library to use for books or other thing it might need, and the 3rd Wednesday of January is the Public Forum where they have 8-10 speakers to share their roles in the community and give the public information on what is going on around our community. They also put out different collection in the display cases at the library every month. Their main goal is to support the library in any way they can.
